Christopher James Williams The artist was born December 25, 1950 in Junction City, Louisiana to Jeff and Rosie Williams. After a brief stay in the military, the artist attending Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio where he studied to become a doctor. In 1980, the artist received a degree in chemistry and went to work for a Fortune 500 company in the midwest. Later he became a Certified Quality Engineer. In 1988 he started to paint as a means of controlling work related stress. The artist's main media is fibrous resin-like material and other items blended into images (mixed media) on canvas or board. These images have won numerous awards over the past years, from 1st place to honorable mention. Shows include; "The Int'L Art Expo of N.Y.(the largest art show in the world), Decors Atlantic Art Expo (at the Worlds Congress Ctr.), Decor's Expo in Las Vegas and Chicago's African Festival of Arts, Cedarburg Culture Center's, Strawberry and Harvest Festival, just to mention a few. Over the last four years, the artist branched into jewelry designs and manufacture. The artist works with sterling silver/gold, pearls and beaded jewelry. This years designs (2002) are based on an "asymmetrical theme" and each piece is unique and signed. He specializes in Australian Boulder Opals. The artist has pushed the limits of the so-called traditional and abstract art creativity, yet staying within the boundaries of decency. The artist is dedicated to bringing you quality and unique designs. The artist allows his creative and imaginative juices to flow free, creating images and designs that will liberate the spirit of those who view the works. Art should be educational and entertaining and the artist believes that there is nothing wrong with it simply being beautiful too. The artist believes that "art should speak to your emotional soul as well as your spiritual intellect."
